Andy holds a B.A. degree in Physics from UCLA, and has done graduate level work in Biophysics and Business Administration. His professional experience includes IBM management, ALA Software founder, Businessland, Computerland, and SCC Consulting partner. His community service includes Sleepy Hollow Elementary Parents Club, Orinda Rotary Club, and Lafayette Orinda Presbyterian Church – Elder and planning leader.
George “Skip” Bradish
Skip holds a B.S. degree from Pennsylvania State University, MBA from the University of California, Berkeley, and additional course work from the Haas School of Business, the Center for Nonprofit and Public Leadership, and the UC Berkeley Lifelong Learning Institute. His professional experience includes PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP, BankAmerica Corporation, and the U.S. Navy. He brings expertise in technology startup and high growth companies, capital markets, and credit and marketing for a variety of industry segments. His community and volunteer participation includes service on the Contra Costa County Civil Grand Jury, UC Berkeley Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, Chair of the Parent Board at the University of San Diego, Moraga Country Club HOA, and several youth sports organizations.
Joyce Hawkins, Secretary
Joyce holds an A.B. degree in Mathematics from Vassar College and a secondary teaching credential in math from the University of California, Berkeley. She has taught and tutored math and was the co-owner of a small business, International Experiences, Inc. Her community contributions include serving as a Member of the City Council and Mayor of Orinda, Member and President of the Orinda School Board, Co-Chair of the Orinda incorporation campaign and Co-Chair of the Orinda Association Planning Committee. For the past two years, Joyce has served as chair of the Lamorinda Village Volunteer Committee. She also has been honored as Orinda's Citizen of the Year.
Don Jenkins, Vice President - Development
Don holds a B.A. in Economics from UC Berkeley and a Master’s degree in Financial Planning from American College. He is a Chartered Life Underwriter and is the retired past president of Lafayette Square Insurance Services, Inc. His community service includes serving as founding board member on three prior charitable organizations: the Orinda Rotary Endowment, the Lafayette Community Foundation, and the Lafayette-Orinda Presbyterian Church. He has served as President of the Local chapter of the Charted Life Underwriters Society, the Berkeley Yacht Club, the Lafayette Chamber of Commerce, the Lafayette Community Foundation, and the Lafayette Square Insurance Service.
Ruth McCahan, Immediate Past President and Founder
Ruth holds a B.A. degree from Duke University. Her professional experience includes the design and delivery of Organizational Development and training programs at two subsidiaries of Transamerica Corporation. Her community contributions range from serving as chair of the Lafayette Senior Services Commission and serving on the Lafayette Senior Liaison Committee and the Lamorinda Senior Transportation Committee to leading the Lafayette Senior Needs Assessment Task Force, serving on the Lafayette Senior Housing Task Force and the Lafayette Downtown Strategic Plan Advisory Committee, and serving as President of the Lafayette Garden Club and the Lafayette Suburban Junior Women's Club. Ruth initiated the Lamorinda Village Task Force and served as the first President of the Village from 2014 to 2016.
Karen holds B.A. and M.A. degrees from California State University, Chico, an M.A. from the University of San Francisco, and a Ph.D. from U.C. Berkeley. She has served in executive-level administration and counseling or teaching roles at several California State University campuses and was selected as an American Council on Education Fellow. Her community contributions include serving on the Moraga Park and Recreation Commission and service as Mayor, Vice Mayor, and Council Member of the Town of Moraga. In these Town roles, she served as Chair, Vice Chair, and Member of the Central Contra Costa Solid Waste Authority Board, liaison to the Association of Bay Area Governments, delegate to the League of California Cities and the Contra Costa County Mayors' Conference, member of the St. Mary's College Subcommittee, liaison to the Moraga Youth Involvement Committee, and member of the Town's Audit and Finance Committee. Karen currently serves as a member of both the Institutional Research Board at Saint Mary's College and the Moraga Park Foundation Board.
Jack Sweitzer, Treasurer
Jack holds a B.S. degree in Accounting from Seton Hall University and a California CPA. After spending 4 years as an officer in the US Navy, Jack returned to Arthur Andersen & Co. in San Francisco and was promoted to partner in 1984. His community contribution includes service on the city of Orinda’s Audit Committee and 6 years on the Board of the Senior Golf Association of Northern California.
Jane Tiemann, President
Jane holds an A.B. from Stanford University and an M.A. from the University of Virginia. Her professional experience includes service as Executive Director of the International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine and the Society of Magnetic Resonance in Medicine, as well as teaching positions at Cornell University and the Executive MBA program at St. Mary’s College. She has served as President and Board member of the Northern California Society of Association Executives and a member of the American Society of Association Executives and the Council of Engineering and Scientific Society Executives.
